I wrote on the blog several times a selection of keywords in the preparation stage to positioning time. This does not mean that we should stop and that once chosen words can not be changed. When you run the site should analyze carefully looking at the statistics, not only keywords that generate the entry of search engines such as Google or Bing, but also the user typed in a search engine inside.
Used to track the statistics we can include Google Analytics. Track your site’s search turns up as follows:
- Sign in to Google Analytics;
- Go to your profile page for which you want to change and click the “edit” in the “action”;
- Click on the “Edit” under “About the Main Website Profile ‘;
- In the “Search Site”, select “Track Site Search” and fill in the fields.
Persons who have a problem with that, I refer to Google.
On the keyword search through a search engine are visible inside the tab content -> Search the site -> search terms. Detailed information on this page (% search exits, the time after the search and the depth of the search) will give us a good picture of how subpages found meet the expectations of users and whether the case should not reflect on the changes.
Above all, however, we can thus pick keywords that are not yet covered in the strategy of SEO, including:
- Typos and spelling mistakes – especially in the case of foreign names of music groups or breeds of animals;
- Regional phrase – on this basis we can improve, title category, changing their order;
- Singular and plural – on sites with job offers in this way will check whether the current combination of the names of the profession with the location of title or header corresponds to what Internet users are looking for;
- New keywords in accordance with the subject of the page, but not included on it – in the case of auction services on this basis, you can enter new product categories.
Catching so keywords can include not only the meta tags, or include them in the contents of selected pages. They can also help us to improve the internal search results by adding mainly typos and other errors to the list of words, which will elaborate on the appropriate category. If for example the service offers of employment is a category called “Human Resources”, we should add to the list of words as “HR” and “staff”, so that you do not hit on the lack of results.
On the basis generated in this way the words can also create boxes with your search phrases often, but not rely entirely on this machine. As well, we can pick the most search terms related to the category and include them in the meta, after being reviewed for other tools that show the intensity of their search.
This is how and to what extent these data will be used, depends primarily on the traffic, because this type of analysis is to make sense only when a large database. My blog has about 230-300 hits a day, a search engine is located in a very distinctive place and use it for exceptions, so I have little data to validation. But on sites with thousands of daily visitors, such data are very helpful.
